Colts Girls Take First A League Title in 20 Years!

The number 2 seed St. Mary’s Colts played to a packed house at the number 1 seed, Alexandra Jayhawks, home court. The game was evenly matched in the first half, with the Colts up by 4 points at half. However the Colts began to take the game to the Jayhawks and led by 13 at the third quarter. The Colts kept the peddle down and finished the game as champions with an 80-61 win over the Jayhawks.

Vikings are the Girls C Volleyball Champs

The 20-4 Crescent Heights Vikings – second place in league play – took the girls C volleyball title with a 2-0 (25-16; 25-17) win over the 21-3 and first seed, Parkside Pythons. The Vikings didn’t lose a set on their way to the title, whereas the Pythons had to take the Medicine Hat Christian Warriors to 3 sets before moving on. The Pythons took out the Warriors 2-1 (26-24; 25-27; 15-8).

In the bronze medal game, the third seed Notre Dame Dawgs defeated the Warriors 2-0 (25-17; 25-20).
