Michel Farmer

M. Farmer a commencé à enseigner à CHHS en 1993 dans le programme d'immersion française. Il a enseigné plusieurs cours tels que: FLA, FLS, les études sociales, l'éducation physique, les sciences, carrière et vie, transitions de carrière, la santé et l’éducation de plein air. Il est venu ici en Alberta de sa ville natale à Ottawa. Il est un francophone qui est allé à l'école francophone pendant toute sa vie scolaire. Il a gradué de l'université d'Ottawa avec un degré en éducation physique et un autre degré en éducation. M. Farmer a débuté sa carrière comme entraîneur en 1993-94 avec trois différentes équipes. Il était l'entraîneur de l'équipe masculine junior "B" de volleyball, l'équipe masculine sénior de basketball et l'équipe féminine sénior de soccer. Il a passé les prochaines 11 années en concentrant sur l'équipe masculine sénior de volleyball. Suite à la naissance de son deuxième bel enfant, il est retourné pour devenir l'entraîneur de l'équipe masculine junior "B" de volleyball afin de passer plus de temps à la maison avec ses enfants. Ceci est sa 28e annnée dans le programme sportif à CHHS. Son rôle maintenant est d'être l'annonceur officiel aux matchs de football, volley-ball et de basket-ball.  Allez les Vikings!  Il est le fier papa de Pascale et Nolé qui sont ses deux enfants magnifiques.  Il a une passion pour découvrir, explorer et apprendre en voyageant avec son épouse.  Il adore les langues et il tente d'apprendre une troisième et quatrième langues qui sont l'espagnol et le portugais.

Mr. Farmer started teaching at CHHS back in 1993 in the French Immersion Program. He has taught many subjects over the years including French Language Arts, Core French, Social Studies, Physical Education, Science, Career and Life Management, Career Transitions, Health, and Outdoor Education. He moved to Alberta from Ottawa where he was born and raised. He is a Francophone who went to French schools all the way through high school. He then went to the University of Ottawa where he graduated with a degree in Physical Education and a degree in Education. Mr. Farmer began his coaching career back in 1993-94 when he coached 3 teams. He coached the Junior "B" Boys Volleyball team, the Senior Boys Basketball team, and the Senior Girls Soccer team. He then spent the next 11 years focusing just on the Senior Boys Volleyball team. After having his second of two beautiful children, he went back to coaching the Junior "B" Boys Volleyball team to be able to spend more time with his children at home. This is now his 28th year in the athletics program at CHHS.  He is now the "Voice of the Vikings" as the official announcer at our home football, volleyball and basketball games.  GO VIKES!  He is the proud father of his two magnificent children, Pascale and Nolé.  He has a passion for discovering, exploring and learning while traveling with his spouse. He loves languages and he is trying to learn a third  and a fourth one which are Spanish and Portuguese.
